At last week’s Mobile Games Forum in London, Antony Douglas, O2’s Head of Games, UK, announced the Top 10 O2 downloads of 2005: At the number one position was our very own 3D Pool. We outsold every other game on O2 last year.

In the official download chart for December provided by ELSPA, the first 3D Pool was at number 7 and 3D Pool: Urban Hustle was at number 10. Thanks to everyone that helped on 3D Pool.

London, 24 May 2005 – The shortlist for MEF’s 2005 Mobile Entertainment Awards demonstrates that compelling content and services, combined with mass market appeal and ease of use are vital ingredients for achieving industry success and recognition. The top five nominations for each category were selected by panels of independent industry experts (see below for list of nominations and judges).

Entries were judged on the basis of their overall effectiveness in driving the take-up of mobile entertainment, with specific factors such as functionality, innovation and proven commercial success taken into account by the judges. The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony, sponsored by Ericsson, on 15 June as part of MEF’s annual event ‘Mobile Entertainment Market’.
